Resolved Question: Can I get my underage DUI reduced/dropped?

I know I made a mistake. I ruined my life. It was the first and last time. I am a female, 20 years old, work full time in accounting/administration and am typically extremely responsible. Here is my story: - I drank at home with my brother. I was completely depressed because he had just lost his baby (stillborn) and my mom had just gone to jail for drugs (again) and I typically don't drink but I really just wanted to fight the pain I was feeling.. Him as well. - We got in to a bad argument over his drug addiction. I told him he needed to leave, he refused and told me to leave (I wouldn't have done this if I wasn't scared of what he might have done next!) and I did leave. - I drove about 2 miles from my house until I realized I was absolutely terrified and needed to come home. I made a U-turn and was on my way until... - I crashed my car. The car is totaled (also financed - the insurance company is luckily handling everything) and I parked in to a parked vehicle. Keep in mind, my car was completely TOTALED. - I know from my phone records that my aunt was calling me around the time I must have crashed. I think I went to answer my phone and must have jerked the wheel. - I don't remember the crash or anything following, I assume I hit my head very hard because I don't "black out drink," ever. - The police did not get me medical attention. I am 5' and about 110lbs. I have had some problems with my memory lately. I will do something and then completely forget WHY I am doing it. This is very frustrating at work. I saw a doctor a week later (I had to find a ride) and was prescribed norco's because of the extreme pain I am having in my back/ribs/legs/neck. Is there any way a lawyer can get me out of this? I hired a DUI attorney already. He said it does sound like I have a good case here. Please help? Can I plea bargain? I can't get my license taken away. I take care of my mother, grandfather and work full time. I live in southern California. I took a blood test. I don't remember this but I did have the tape around my arm when I woke up and was released.... Read More »
